No. 4 Torrington softball plays No. 13 Bristol Central in Class L 2nd round today
I
will be covering a Class L softball second round game today between No.
4 Torrington (20-3) and No. 13 Bristol Central (13-7) at 4 p.m. at
Torrington High School. You can get updates on the game on Twitter
@kroberts023. There will also be a live blog on the game on the Register
Citizen sports web site. The blog will start at 3:45. Bristol Central advanced to the second round with a 10-2 win over...
No. 20 Platt, who is also from the Central Connecticut Conference.
Torrington had a first round bye. The Lady Raiders haven't played a game
since last Thursday's 1-0 loss to Seymour in the Naugatuck Valley
League Tournament final. The winner of today's game advances to the
quarterfinals Saturday against the winner of No. 5 Brookfield
(South-West Conference) and No. 12 Berlin (CCC) at a time to be
determined. The game will be at the higher seed's home field.
