Double rainout for Titans tonight; feature on Conor Bierfeldt
KEVIN D. ROBERTS/Register Citizen |
The Torrington Titans had a doubleheader against the Martha's Vineyard Sharks wiped out by impending heavy rain on Tuesday. Fuessenich Park looked playable when I stopped by around 5:30 p.m., but the forecast was for an inch of rain or more. With Martha's Vineyard needing to travel over fours (plus ferry time) to get to Torrington, it was understandable why the games were called off.
I am trying to confirm what date the rescheduled games will be played on, and I will update that as soon as I know.

I traveled to Canton's Valley Sports Center and caught up with the Titans. I will be writing a feature on Torrington native Conor Bierfeldt tonight. Here's a video interview with Bierfeldt. Look for a full feature on Bierfeldt later tonight.
