Torrington-Brookfield softball quarterfinal live blog, plus analysis

I will be covering today's Class L softball quarterfinal game between No. 4 Torrington and No. 5 Brookfield at Torrington High School. My live blog for the game starts at 3:45 p.m. Game time is 4. You can also find updates on the game on Twitter @kroberts023.
The Lady Raiders enter the game with a 21-3 record. Torrington had a first round bye, then defeated No. 13 Bristol Central 1-0 in a second round game on Wednesday at Torrington.
The Bobcats are also 21-3 and they had a first round bye. In the second round, Brookfield rallied for a 3-2 win in eight innings over No. 12 Berlin in a second round game on Wednesday at Brookfield High School.
The winner of today's game plays next Monday or Tuesday in a semifinal at a place and time to be determined.
